Tal Medical is developing a neurostimulation-based treatment, called Low Field Magnetic Stimulation (LFMS), derived from echo-planar magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging technology. Low Field Magnetic Stimulation (LFMS) is the technology which is a non invassive technique that uses an external device to apply a pulsed magnetic field to the brain. In LFMS, the field strength is below the threshold required for neuronal firing.
In Apr 2015, Tal Medical secured $14 Mn funding round from existing investor PureTech, and several prominent individual investors. Prior this, inital seed funding was provided by PureTech Ventures.
